Allison Inglis, BA, LLB, was admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia in 1996.

She has been a member of the HBM Lawyers team since 2000 and joined the HBM partnership in 2005.

Allison works extensively in public authority liability and liability of schools, churches and charities. She has represented her clients’ interests in a broad range of jurisdictions, successfully defending a variety of challenging and complex litigated claims involving public recreational facilities, road authorities and school authorities.

Allison provides comprehensive advice to her clients and manages a variety of claims in the areas of public liability, statutory liability and professional indemnity.

With a reputation for managing sensitive claims in a practical way, Allison has forged strong relationships with her clients and their insureds to achieve a sound understanding of their desired claims strategies.

Allison works closely with clients in all aspects of their business, keeping them up to date with industry developments and liaising with insureds on risk management issues.

Allison sits on the board of management for a youth-based recreational charity, providing her with a unique first-hand perspective on risk, governance and insurance issues faced by charitable institutions.
